Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej [now Onesti Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to receive a score of a perfect of 10 in the Olympic competition. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi later the Romanian gymnastics coach when she was only six years old. The first time she competed was at the National Junior Championships in which she finished 13th in 1969. In the year 1970, she was crowned champion. She took home three golds at her debut competition at a junior Olympic meet in 1972 for the communist bloc nations. The following year, 1973 as well as 1974 she won the junior champion in all-round competitions. The athlete won four golds and one silver in her first international competition for seniors which took place in the year 1975. It was the first time she participated as a senior. The first female to do a reverse double salo on the bar with a parallel surface after winning the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment business began during her teens when she began performing as a figure skater alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol's professional career started in the entertainment industry as a teenager. She began her career when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling show of entertainment. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating performance.
